Iceberg Point

Iceberg Point has beautiful views out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The rocky bluffs rise straight up from the water and are crisscrossed by walking trails.

  • Take a hike to the stone monument on top of Iceberg Point, the views are amazing, especially at sunset.

What can I see and do at Iceberg Point?

This south and west facing shore has stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and towards San Juan Island. It’s a great place to watch the sunset, fish from the shore, kayak or just take a walk along the water. The windswept trees and grasses give the Point an atmosphere of stark natural beauty.

Where is Iceberg Point?

Iceberg Point is on the south end of Lopez Island. From the village head east on Hummel Lake Road, then take a right on Center Road. This will turn into Mud Bay Road, take another right on Mackaye Harbor Road, park at Agate Beach. The trailhead for Iceberg is south along a dirt road and on your right.

When is Iceberg Point open?

The Point is open year round for daytime use. Winter hikes can be particularly exciting during storms that sweep in from the Pacific Ocean.
