What can I see and do at Eastsound Waterfront County Park?

This small park has a wide grassy field that slopes down to the driftwood strewn beach. You can use the picnic tables or spread out a blanket on the grass for a midday break or relaxing summer evening. The park also provides access to tiny Indian Island. This is a short and easy paddle but feels like a real adventure for kids who can scramble all over the bare rocky Island. During low tides you can even walk out to Indian Island on a narrow sandbar.

Where is Eastsound Waterfront County Park?

The Park is on the right side of Main Street when you turn right off of Orcas Road coming from the Ferry Landing. It is easy to find when you are wandering around town, Main Street runs right along the shore and the park is at its western end.

When is Eastsound Waterfront County Park open?

The Park is open year round for daytime use. It is particularly popular during summer time low tides when people climb all over Indian Island exploring the tide pools. However be sure to respect the delicate marine ecosystem as you explore.
