San Juan Islands Tennis Courts

The San Juan Islands are a great place to play tennis. The mild climate means it’s a pleasure to play all year round. During the summer local clubs have tournaments that welcome visiting players.

Where can I play Tennis?

There are several San Juan Islands tennis courts. Lopez, San Juan and Orcas all have tennis courts open to the public. The tennis courts on Lopez and Orcas are maintained by enthusiastic volunteers. They also have tennis events during the summer.

Lopez Community Tennis Courts
These four courts are in the middle of the Island near Lopez School. There is a vault toilet, water and large parking area available. 

  • Location: The Tennis Courts are located on Center Road just past the Lopez School.

Roche Harbor Resort, San Juan Island
This attractive historic Resort has tennis courts near the water. You can pay to use the courts as a visitor or use them for free if you are a guest.

San Juan Island Golf and Country Club
This luxurious Club has facilities for events and sports. The tennis courts are well maintained and open to the public. Lunch and snacks can be purchased in the nearby Club House. 

  • Location: From Friday Harbor head south on Mullis Road, which will turn into Cattle Point Road. The Country Club is on Golf Course Road off of Cattle Point Road near the water.

Buck Park, Orcas Island
This small community park has tennis courts, a skate park, and other sports fields. The courts are free and open to the public. 

  • Location: The courts are adjacent to the Middle School on Mt. Baker Road. From Eastsound head north on North Beach Road and take a right on Mt. Baker Road.
