A Splash of Summer Color - Summer Arts Fair and Lavender Festival

The 12th annual San Juan Lavender Festival at Pelindaba Lavender Farm includes Tours and exhibits surveying the entire process – from field to finished product. This "Something for Everyone" weekend is a time to celebrate the fragrant harvest at the San Juan Island Lavender Festival as well as local and regional art at the Summer Arts Street Fair in Friday Harbor.
The fields at Pelindaba Lavender Farm will be open for strolling, relaxing and breathtaking photo ops. Demonstrations cover topics such as lavender cultivation, harvesting, essential oil distillation, history and uses, cooking with lavender and more. The Summer Arts Street Fair will feature 50 local and regional artists selling their works in a juried show of booths, as well as artists from across the U.S. and Canada. There will be local, live music all day on the Courthouse lawn, a Kid's Creative Center, "Chalk it Up" Sidewalk Art Contest, art demonstrations, and a food court.
